FINEX Team
We have an exciting opportunity in our growing Western Canada FINEX team for a Broker. This role is responsible for Management Liability, Kidnap & Ransom, Professional Liability, Cyber and Privacy Risks. Additionally, this role will focus on new and renewal business working on D&O, Crime, Fiduciary Liability and Employment Practices Liability insurance.
Role Description
Accountabilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing renewals for executive risk insurance and handling open market placements
- Negotiate coverage terms, conditions, and pricing with insurers for new and renewal business
- Review and recommend policy adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with team members on client presentations relating to insurance terms and conditions
- Issue and conduct technical reviews of policy documents for accuracy
- Request policies and/or amendments from insurers
- Provide timely, high-quality service, and risk-management advice to clients
- Ensure client records are accurately maintained in our broker management system (EPIC) and shared drive
- Represent Purves Redmond Limited at industry and client events
- Occasional travel across Canada as needed for client and market meetings and events
The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in Financial Lines Insurance (Broking or Underwriting)
- Degree or diploma in Business or Finance
- Alberta and British Columbia Broker License (or willingness to obtain)
- RIBO license, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designations are assets
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) would be an asset
- Cyber-liability placement experience an asset
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Client-focused, motivated, and a team player eager to learn and collaborate
