Group Benefits Services Team

As Regional Leader of Group Benefits, you will use your experience as a consultant with deep sales and technical expertise to take a leadership role in growing our BC division. You will be responsible for local business development opportunities and will work with Senior Leadership to set business development strategy and tactics for the BC region. In addition, as a senior subject matter expert, you will also be responsible for providing Consulting support to a book of clients that include some of PRL’s most prestigious accounts.

Role Description

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and maintaining interdivisional and intercompany relationships consistent with our corporate culture
  • Generating sales by expanding revenues from existing clients and leading prospecting efforts with new clients
  • Leading client engagements, including managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewals, business placement, benchmarking and other studies
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of carrier products and networks, cost management solutions and various funding mechanisms
  • Assisting, educating and mentoring other staff members in new client sales situations and existing client service requirements

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of the Canadian group benefits industry and financial underwriting requirements for all sizes, and types, of employee benefits plans
  • A minimum of 8 years of group benefits experience in an Advisory/Consulting environment
  • Proven track record of generating new B2B client sales opportunities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal
  • A real passion for building relationships and collaborating toward success
  • Post-Secondary Degree or equivalent
  • Active LLQP License
  • Proficient in Microsoft
  • EPIC experience an asset
