Position Overview
The Broker, Management Liability is responsible for managing new and renewal business within the Management Liability lines, including Directors & Officers Liability, Crime, Fiduciary Liability, and Employment Practices Liability. This role manages an assigned portfolio of clients, supports the placement and servicing of coverage, negotiates terms with insurers, and provides technical expertise and risk management advice. The Broker collaborates with internal teams and external partners to deliver responsive service, support client retention and growth, and ensure the accurate and timely execution of policy documentation and related deliverables.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned portfolio of clients, including the renewal process for Management Liability lines of coverage and open market placement of insurance policies
- Negotiate coverage terms, conditions and pricing with insurers for new and renewal business
- Review insurance coverages and recommend changes aligned to client needs and risk exposures
- Support the development of client presentation and communicate insurance terms and conditions to clients
- Prepare, review and issue policy documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Request and coordinate policy documentation and amendments with insurers
- Respond to client inquiries and service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support client servicing, retention, and business development objectives
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely maintenance of client records within the broker management system (EPIC) and shared documentation repositories
- Representing the organization at client meetings, industry events, and other professional engagements as required
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in commercial insurance, gained in broking or underwriting
- Valid RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) license, or ability to obtain and maintain one
- Strong understanding of Management Liability lines and/or Financial Institutions and related insurance products is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality client service and exceeding client expectations
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to execute work accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner
- Thrive on paying attention to details and work well under the pressure of deadlines and multiple priorities.

Compensation
Purves Redmond Limited is committed to fair and transparent compensation practices. The base salary range for this role is $70,000–$90,000. This range reflects the expected hiring range for the position and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and overall fit. Additional compensation, where applicable, may include performance-based incentives, commissions, or bonuses.
