Position Overview
As a Broker within our Cyber Practice, you will manage an existing portfolio of clients with a dedicated focus on Cyber Insurance. You will lead renewals and market placements, negotiate with insurers, advise clients on coverage strategy and cyber exposures, and provide a high standard of service. This role works closely with internal teams and insurer partners and includes increasing responsibility in client-facing presentations and relationship management.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned portfolio of Cyber Insurance accounts, including renewals, policy changes, and day-to-day client service
- Lead the renewal and placement process, including gathering underwriting information, preparing submissions, negotiating with insurers, and securing appropriate coverage terms, conditions, and pricing
- Review policies, endorsements, and insurer quotations to identify coverage gaps, ensure accuracy, and recommend solutions aligned with client needs
- Advise clients on cyber risk exposures and controls, market conditions, coverage options, and risk management considerations
- Prepare and present coverage recommendations, renewal terms, and policy changes to clients in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Coordinate with insurers and internal teams to obtain policy documentation, endorsements, certificates, and amendments in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate client records, policy documentation, and activity notes in EPIC and shared systems
- Build strong relationships with clients, insurer partners, and internal teams, and represent the firm at relevant industry and client events
- Support new business and cross-selling opportunities within the Cyber Practice and broader organization
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Cyber Insurance, gained in broking or underwriting. Technology Errors & Omissions or other Financial Lines experience is an asset
- Strong understanding of cyber coverage, policy wordings, insurer markets, and underwriting considerations
- Ability to communicate complex insurance terms and recommendations clearly and professionally to clients
- Suggested designations or certifications include: General insurance (CIP, CRM, or other). Cyber (CISSP, CPLP, CCIS, or CompTIA Security+)
- Experience in a client-facing brokerage environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and broker management systems such as EPIC
- Valid RIBO licence, or willingness to obtain
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, collaborative, and motivated to continue developing professionally

Compensation
Purves Redmond Limited is committed to fair and transparent compensation practices. The base salary range for this role is $90,000–$115,000. This range reflects the expected hiring range for the position and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and overall fit. Additional compensation, where applicable, may include performance-based incentives, commissions, or bonuses.
